Now, we get to check out the two wildly different styles of Beatles tribute: Cirque de Soleil’s LOVE and Julie Taymor’s movie Across the Universe.
(Quick note: My wife and I could’ve seen LOVE in Vegas. We’ve now come to the conclusion that it would’ve been cool, but not worth mortgaging our futures.)
Both are pretty cool. Gotta give the edge to LOVE for the pseudo-exploding VW.
Aaaand outside to Michael Bluth, who’s crackin’ wise as only he can. He’s getting folks ready for a Foo Fighters show with an orchestra that’ll be directed by John Paul Jones, which will likely rule. And we’ve got a “Grammy Moment” contest which generally has lame written all over it. Although the cellist rules!
