At first, these were the last words I wanted to hear coming out of Michael Kay’s mouth:

“There it goes! Ninth inning! Two out! Grand slam! Walk-off! Alex Rodriguez!”

And then I realized. Oh yeah. It’s April.

Yes, A-Rod had one of those wonderful, storybook-type moments against the Orioles in a 10-7 win Saturday. Yes, it was his second homer off Baltimore’s fairly suspect pitching. Yes, he did have another home run today.

And yes, that is an example of A-Rod’s prodigious hitting talents.

But it’s April. Truly, that is all you need to know.
