Good podcast.
About a month ago, ESPN.com writer Bill Simmons, aka the Sports Guy, got together with Chuck Klosterman, author of Fargo Rock City and some other great books, for a podcast. They covered a lot of ground, but the best part was listening them discuss what went wrong in the industry I chose.
Here’s a link to a good blog about the podcast from In Pursuit of the Trivial.

New Frontiers is where the edge of the envelope meets the corners of the mind. It’s about those who try harder to make the world just a little more interesting. It’s also the name of a Donald Fagen song, on the album The Nightfly.
Stuff I'm interested in. Stuff I enjoy. Stuff that makes me happy. The stuff that makes life good.

Thanks for the link – and did you happen to catch the rest of the Bill Simmons’s journalism series? He had his boss at ESPN and then the outgoing ESPN Ombudsman on in the weeks following Klosterman. Definitely worth checking out.

Hi Nate… I’ve been meaning to — I understand that, almost unintentionally, Bill’s podcasts have become an excellent explainer/viewpoint to what’s happening to this industry.
Thanks for the reply. And I’ll keep an eye on your blog — throw you in the ol’ blog roll even. Have a good one!
